Very often this process take longer than people expect because the "magic instant" as we say here, does not happen very frequently. This is because when we import the time line in formats (like AAF, XML, EDL, etc.) from the different editing programs it is very rare for there to be no need to adjust the timelines and recreate effects, make speed changes, etc.
